top baits for tench at magiscroft

tench is my fav fish and i rarely catch them at magiscroft so would anyone suggest a bait i should use or a rig

try using a small open ended feeder packed with pellets u have soaked in water or a liquid atracter followed through to a hooked to nylon 2.5lb line and size 18 hook with a hook bait of either double maggot or sweetcorn get ur self ready because u could expect a chance of hooking a nice carp aswell

An inch to a half inch piece of worm fished over casters and hemp or choppy but also try maggots and sweetcorn over pellets as this sometimes works. Rigs wise use the smallest float you can get away with, when fishing the pole i would use a Daiwa TD6 on 4 or 5lbs main line to a Gama Pellet hook in a size 16,18 or very rarely a 20 with the 16 being tied to 3lbs match winner and the other two being tied to 2 or 2.5lbs match winner. I tend to fish for tench with white hydro on the pole at magiscroft as it will give me a chance to land any carp that decide to take the bait as well but it is soft enough to land smaller fish aswell

try the island pond on the longer pegs only 2-3 rod lenghts out i usually always get tench doing this ,
however , if you want a big one the railway is your best bet people hook them all the time ,getting them netted before they snap you is a different story though
