As Woody advices to use a pole as well as slider.Was wandering which elastic do i use,hooklengh breaking strains,floatsand hooks etc do i use :?: :thumb

Keep it simple:-

For the roach. 0.12 mainline to 0.08 hooklength to a size 20/22 hook. (Gama Green)

For the carp/skimmers. 0.14 mainline to 0.12 hooklength size 18/20 hook. (Gama Pellet)

Floats for the roach. sensas jean francois and sensas modena. 1g for the bottom down to 0.4g for up in the water.

Floats for the carp/skimmers. sensas series 18. 1g/1.5g depending on the wind.

Elastic for the roach a no4 is fine.

Elastic for the carp/skimmers a no8 is fine :thumb
