George Yardley powered his way to a clear win in the 4th Access Open with a nice mixed catch of Ide, Orfe, Chub and Carp for 26lb 6oz from peg 19 on the Island Pond.  Scott Lawrence doesn't fish too many matches nowadays, but also fished very well on the day to pip Brian Wallace for 2nd place.

Though cool rain had put a dampener on the action, from the excitement at the draw to the excellent presentation buffet, everyone had a memorable time.

The ACCESS Open continues to establish itself as Scotland's premier open match  thanks to sponsors ACCESS Loans and Mortgages , with superb trophies, tremendous cash prizes and great catches. Lawrence Ihle of ACCESS is delighted to support the angling community and Magiscroft. After his recent road accident, everyone was relieved and delighted to welcome Lawrence back to present the prizes and of course the 'BIG cheque'. Thanks to everyone else who helped make the day so successful and enjoyable, especially Frieda for the excellent hot buffet and drinks. Congratulations to George, also to the other winners, and roll on next year!
